  • Online Account Management
    Can I reset my password?
    If you forget your online password, you can reset it from the Dell Financial Services Login page.  Please click 'Forgot User ID or Password' on the DFS Home page. Please note: You will receive one e-mail containing your User ID and then another e-mail containing your Temporary Password. Once you receive this, you can copy and paste your temporary password into the appropriate space online, or you can key it in by hand, paying special attention to the case of each letter. Once logged in, you will be required to change to a permanent password of your choosing.  You will then receive a third e-mail confirming your new password.
  • How can I check that my browser is accepting cookies?
    In Internet Explorer, go to Tools | Internet Options, click on the Security tab, click on the Internet icon, and then the Custom Level... button. Scroll down to the Cookies section, and make sure that both types are enabled.  In Netscape, go to Edit | Preferences, and select Advanced. In the Cookies section, make sure Accept All Cookies is selected.

  • I can't seem to remember my username or password. Can you remind me what they are?

  • I tried to recover my password using the account verification form, but I'm told that my account is locked. Why?
    It's possible that another user has mistakenly entered your account number while trying to create a profile or recover their own password. Since they don't have the proper verification information for that account, they weren't able to.  For your protection, the account was locked. For more information, Contact DFS Customer Service to unlock the account.
  • I've checked that my browser is accepting cookies, and it still won't save my password. What else am I doing wrong?
    It's possible that someone else logged into the site with a different username and unselected the "Save my username...." box. Just select the box and login again to save your username
  • What internet browsers should I use to access my Dell Financial Services online account(s)?

    Supported Browsers:  PC Windows 98, NT, 2000, ME, XP, Vista MAC OS 9 and OS 10 Supported Browser. Supported Browser Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher 5.1.7 Firefox 2 and higher 2 and higher Safari 1.0 and higher (for OS 10 only). If you're using an older browser version that is no longer compatible, you can go to the Firefox or Internet Explorer websites and download a new browser version.  We do not recommend that you download beta versions. Once you have completed the download and installation of the supported browser, you can return to the Dell Financial Service Home page.

    Can I make changes to the type of marketing communications that I receive from DFS?
    Yes. You can access your Marketing Communications Preferences Profile page at any time and select from many communications options. Your Marketing Communications Profile changes will not impact communications you receive from DFS on billing, Terms and Conditions, or any other communications we are legally required to send you.
  • Statement/ Billing
    Does Dell Financial Services offer paperless statements?
    Yes, we offer paperless statements for Dell Preferred Accounts and Dell Business Credit Accounts.  Setup is immediate, free of charge, and you can view up to 12 consecutive months of statements.  To sign up: (1) simply login to your account or create a profile for new users (2) select ‘Go Paperless” in the ‘I want to’ section of your Account Summary Page (3) confirm delivery e-mail address (4) review the program ‘terms and conditions’ and select ‘update’ and your done!  To learn more about how paperless statements work, visit our online tutorial.  For DFS Lease and DFS Loan, the paperless statement service is currently not offered.     
  • Does DFS offer AutoPay Plans?
    Yes, Dell Financial Services offers AutoPay plans for your convenience.  Please visit the DFS AutoPay page for all the services available to you.
  • What payment options does Dell Financial Services provide?
    Dell Financial Services has multiple payment options available for your Dell Preferred Account, Dell Business Credit, DFS Lease or DFS Loan.  Please visit our DFS Contact Us page to learn more!  For DFS Lease and DFS Loan, the Same-day payment online option is currently not available.

  • How can I change my Dell Computer contact information?

    In order to update your Dell Computer contact information, such as Shipping Address, please contact Dell at 800-624-9897.  Please have your Dell Customer Number or Dell Order number available, as this will allow for the Dell Representative to better assist you.

Dell Business Credit Account

  • Account Specifics
    How does DFS process a payment received by check?
    When you send us a check as a payment, you authorize us to clear your check electronically. Your payment will show up on your statement as an electronic entry indicated by DFS. The electronic description will include the check serial number and the payee. DFS will keep a copy of the check for seven years. If you need a copy of your original check, DFS will be able to supply it to you. Under the terms of your DBC agreement, you may be charged for this copy.
  • What is the Dell Business Credit (DBC) Account?
    The Dell Business Credit is a revolving line of credit issued by WebBank that provides an easy way to finance purchases of goods and services offered by Dell. Additionally, the Dell Preferred Account offers the freedom to add the purchase of software, peripherals, or even a new system to an account at any time based on your available credit limit.  To learn more about the Dell Business Credit Account, visit the Financing Options-Small and Medium Business page.
  • Why do I have to send a check if DFS electronically removes the funds from my account?
    DFS has not enrolled you in any kind of a direct debit program. We still need your check to initiate payment processing. You still control the timing of each payment by sending the check. If you prefer to use direct debit instead of sending checks each month, please complete the Auto Pay Plan Form  for your Dell Business Credit.

    How can I check the status of my order?
    You may check the status on-line on the Dell Order Status page, or you may call Dell Customer Service at (800) 624-9897.  Please have your Dell Order Number or Dell Customer Number available
  • What if I want to change the equipment on my order prior to shipment?
    Immediately call your Dell Sales Representative for any questions or changes to the equipment on your order. If you delay contacting your sales representative, your computer may already be in transit to you.  Please have your Dell Order Number or Dell Customer Number available.
  • Terms and Conditions
    How is my minimum payment calculated?
    The minimum payment on your DBC account will be the greater of 2.5% of the outstanding balance or $15.
  • What are the Terms and Conditions of a Dell Business Credit Account?

  • What fees does DFS charge in association with my Dell Business Credit Account?

    You can be charged a fee if you do not make your payment on time, you pay with a check that is returned unpaid, or if you pay your bill over the telephone. You may also be charged a fee if you request copies of your statements or require research on your account history. You will also be charged a minimum finance charge of $1.00 per billing cycle in every billing cycle where finance charges are billed but are otherwise less than $1.00.   • What if the appointed Account Custodian needs to be updated?
    In order to update the Account Custodian, please complete an Account Custodian Change form and submit to Dell Financial Services. 
  • What is a DBC Account Custodian?
    The Borrower has designated the Account Custodian to be the primary contact person for the DBC account and as an authorized user of the account.  The Account Custodian, and others [Authorized Users] that the Account Custodian designates, can use the DBC account on behalf of the Borrower.  To learn more about the Account Custodian, Authorized Users and Pin Codes, please refer to the DBC Terms and Conditions page.
  • Why didn't I receive the lowest interest available, or other program feature?
    WebBank, the lender, determines the rates and credit lines that apply to each account based on its underwriting guidelines and the applicant's creditworthiness. All qualified customers may still be offered financing in which there is no penalty if the amount financed is paid off early. Additionally, the total finance charges paid can be reduced by increasing the amount paid each month.

  • How do we change the business name on a lease contract?
    If the company name has changed, please submit the reason for the request and all supporting legal documentation such as the Amended Articles of Incorporation. Please fax your information to DFS Correspondence at 512-283-2664.
  • How long does it take to process the lease paperwork?
    Once the signed contract and valid ID have been received, it generally takes 2-4 hours to process your lease paperwork. If there are any problems that would prevent us from continuing with your order, you will be contacted by a representative. You should contact your Leasing Sales Representative if you have any questions.
  • What is a Dell Financial Services Business Lease?

    The DFS Business Lease is an ideal option for businesses who wish to stream out payments in fixed, low monthly installments by choosing a 24, 30, 36 or 48th month term.  To learn more about the Fair Market Value and $1 Buy-Out lease and the end- of-term options provided by Dell Financial Services, visit the Financing Options-Small and Medium Business page.

  • Early Lease Buyout/ Terminations
    Can I return my equipment and end my lease early?
    Yes, you must make all of your required payments under the lease thereby satisfying your lease obligations prior to your termination date and return the leased equipment to DFS.
  • How do I buy the equipment early?
    Obtain buyout quote information online by accessing an account in your profile and selecting the 'Get a Buyout Quote' option.
  • Is there an Early Termination Option?
    Yes, you may purchase the equipment on your lease prior to the termination date.
  • End of Lease
    At the end of a lease, who will pay for shipping to return my system back to DFS?
    You are responsible for the cost of shipping the equipment back to DFS.
  • Can Dell Financial Services arrange for the return of the equipment?
    Yes, DFS does offer return transportation services that include the packing of the equipment and shipping back to DFS. The cost for this service typically ranges, between $35 to $50 per box, with a minimum price of $150-$175. An End of Lease Representative will be able to provide more detailed information as it relates to your specific situation.
  • What happens at the end of my lease?
    Generally, at the end of your lease term, you have three End-of-Lease options. You may purchase the equipment for the Purchase Option Price in your lease, return the equipment to DFS, or renew your lease. This may vary for Fair Market Value or $1 Buy-out options.  Please refer to your lease contract for the amount of time before the expiration of the lease in which to notify DFS of your end of lease intentions.
  • What if some items are missing with the end of lease return? (i.e. mouse, keyboard, software, etc.)
    You, the Lessee, will be billed the in-place fair market value for any items damaged or not returned at end of lease.
  • What is an End of Lease Return?

    An end of lease return is the return of the leased equipment to DFS once all required payments under the lease have been satisfied. In order to return your equipment to DFS, you will need to contact an End of Lease Representative in order to obtain a Lease Authorization # and return instructions. If you do not purchase the leased equipment, it is your responsibility to return the equipment to DFS at your expense.

     

  • Where do I send my written notice of intentions?
    Dell Financial Services L.L.C. End of Lease Department – Transaction One Dell Way Round Rock, TX 7868.  Please review your lease contract for the amount of time before the expiration of the lease in which to notify DFS of your end of lease intentions.
  • Purchases
    Can I trade my current system in for a new system?
    There is no option in the lease to trade out the computer system prior to the end of your lease. All of the lease payments must be satisfied. Once all remaining payments under the lease have been made, the equipment may be returned to DFS and new equipment may be ordered from Dell.
  • How can I check the status of my order?
    You may check the status on-line on the Dell Order Status page,  or you may call Dell Customer Service at (800) 624-9897.  Please have your Dell Order Number or Dell Customer Number available
  • How can I upgrade/ modify my existing system?
    You may add additional hardware to your system such as additional RAM. However, no permanent modifications that could affect the value should be made to the equipment. Any alteration, addition or improvement that is not removed by you when the equipment is returned to DFS at the end of your lease, will become the property of DFS.
  • How do I initiate a new Lease?
    In order to initiate a new lease, please go to www.Dell.com or contact a Dell Sales Representative at (800) 999-3355 and initiate a new order. When speaking with your Dell Representative, please let him/her know you are interested in leasing the equipment.
  • What if I want to change the equipment on my order prior to shipment?

    Payments for DFS Business Leases are fixed.   Payments must be made for the monthly payment, plus any other miscellaneous items that might be due.
  • What are the Terms and Conditions of a DFS Business Lease?

  • What fees does DFS charge in association with my DFS Business Lease?
    You can be charged a fee if you do not make your payment on time, if you pay your bill over the telephone, for Personal Property Tax Management, or lease application processing .  To learn more about Dell Business lease Fees, visit the Financing Options-Small and Medium Business page for the  Terms and Conditions for Fair Market Value or $1 Buy-out.  
  • What is a PPT Fee?
    A PPT fee is a Personal Property Tax Management fee.  Many states require property taxes be paid based on the value of the equipment. So that you can avoid the administrative work of these property taxes, DFS has elected to pay them directly to the taxing entity. The business cost of this service is the Personal Property Tax Fee and it is based on the estimated tax liability of the particular location of your equipment. This is a service so you may incur a sales and usage tax on the value of this service
  • What is Interim Rent?
    A prorated portion of the Rent will be calculated based on a 30 day month or 90 day quarter for the period from the Acceptance date to the Commencement date.  The Acceptance date is the date of the order being received or each order being received.

    Can I pre-pay a portion of my DFS Business Loan?
    No, the DFS Business Loan cannot be pre-paid in portions.  If you wish to pre-pay your Business Loan before your contract term date, you must contact DFS at 877-663-3355 to obtain a final payoff quote good for 10 days.
  • How do I make the final payoff on my DFS Business Loan contract?
    You may contact DFS at 877-663-3355 to obtain a final payoff quote good for 10 days.
  • How is my monthly payment calculated?
    Payments for DFS Business Loan are fixed.   Payments must be made for the monthly payment, plus any other miscellaneous items that might be due.
  • If I pre-pay my DFS Business Loan, will I be assessed a pre-payment penalty fee?
    Yes, per the Terms and Conditions, the customer is liable to pay a pre-payment penalty fee.
  • What are the Terms and Conditions of a DFS Business Loan?
